On Saturday nights, after I was supposed to be asleep, I would listen to Casey Kasem's American Top 40 at the lowest possible volume. I even has one of those mono earplugs to make sure my Dad couldn't hear what I was up to. It's pretty cool to hear the man counting down the top 40 right here. With the songs and commercials removed, the show is only 40 minutes long instead of three hours. Spoiler alert : Elton John and Kiki Dee's "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" is the #1 song for its fourth and final week. At least we can finally feature Vicki Sue Robinson's "Turn the Beat Around" before it tumbles from the Top 40.
